Fruitful Harvests Foundation is an international network of Christians united by a deep faith in the transformative potential of women, sustainable agriculture, community-driven projects, and the fulfillment of God’s directive to nurture creation and empower others to do the same. Our current working region is Bong County, Liberia.

Liberia, one of the world’s poorest countries, has a history marked by instability and civil wars. Key historical events include a brutal Civil War (1989-2003), the Ebola outbreak (2014-2016), and the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic. Following fourteen years of devastating civil conflict, Liberia’s economy and infrastructure suffered severe damage. Liberia, like many other regions, faces complex challenges, including poverty, gender inequality, economic disparities, environmental degradation, lack of education, and unemployment among women. Many women lost their husbands during the war, making them the sole providers of their families.  Women in rural communities lack education and the skills to set up their businesses. However, we firmly believe that by investing in the potential of women and harnessing the potential of agriculture, we can sow the seeds of lasting change.

We tackle those issues mentioned above. Our approach involves empowering women with agriculture-friendly techniques, offering loans, and providing training to enable local women to establish their own businesses. Additionally, we foster community-based initiatives, conduct research on land use methods, implement tangible strategies for land preservation and facilitate discussions on the role of Christian faith in each of these issues.
